God's Devil

Drawing from Martin Luther’s famous quote, “Even the devil is God’s devil,” this study walks through the courtroom of heaven scene in Job 1:6–12, unpacking what it means that every created being—including Satan—answers to and is directed by God. This session challenges common misconceptions about Satan’s power, warning against attributing divine characteristics like omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence to him. Instead, we see that Satan’s actions are always confined within the limits of divine permission—he can touch nothing unless God allows it.
